i think i had Medical student disease!!!!!!
According to Wiki, this is a condition frequently reported in medical students, who perceive themselves to be experiencing the symptoms of the disease(s) they are studying.

N now i m in psychiatric posting.....( does it mean that i think that i had psychosis????)
Nonononono.... but i had the followings.....

Disease 1:
Seasonal affective disorder (SAD):
a type of winter depression that affects an estimated half a million people every winter between September and April; in particular during December, January and February.

with main symptoms:

1. Sleep problems:
Usually desire to oversleep and difficulty staying awake but, in some cases, disturbed sleep and early morning
( I slept for 10 hours a day for the past wk and cant concentrate on what the psychiatric pt say at all)

2. Depression:
Feelings of misery, guilt and loss of self-esteem, sometimes hopelessness and despair, sometimes apathy and loss of feelings
( i m a little bit depressed ....n this is b'coz the sky dark so fast!!!!! 5 pm is like 9 pm.....!!!!)

3. Lethargy:
Feeling of fatigue and inability to carry out normal routine
( for sure i have this... dun feel like going to the ward everyday!!!!)

4. Overeating:
Craving for carbohydrates and sweet foods, usually resulting in weight gain
( my main symptoms....... Digestive biscuits and chocolate become my good friends now!!!)

N i had all of these... so i self diagnosed SAD.....

disease 2:
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Diagnosed by my housemates....hahaha...
i bathed at least 3 times a day.......
what happened to me????

P.S: i m going to bath now again!!!!
my 2nd time today........HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Anyway... thx to all my beloved housemates and friends.

I have a great celebration that day

( although i m in super duper stress that time as my paeds exam is just a few days to go)

and really enjoying the treasure hunt.

I have to solve all the clues and

search through the whole house to get all my present leh.

Not that easy but really interesting

( until i only focus on the clues n forgot the presents). Lolz......

Time passing so fast that i didn't realise i was back to Belfast for almost 2 months. I have just finished my 1st posting (paediatrics). Is really fun to play with kids, especially when they running around the ward, hiding from their mum n nurses, playing with ur stethoscope, telling u that ur hand is very cold, n they can offer their small , tiny hand to warm u up. They are so lovely that they will hug u when they r leaving the clinic, n they even kissed u..( mayb i m brought up in a conservative family, i think hug is enuf lor, so i was shocked when she kissed me after the hugs). N when u r the only chinese in the ward, the nurses wil borrow u to act as a translator in the ward round. ( kinda proud of myself being able to speak mandarin...although not that pro in the mandarin medical jargon...hehe...). Anyway, going to my next posting in psychiatry next wk, hopefully i wont have the same experience as one of my housemate, n han fun instead ............

One excited thing is i got a part time job. I worked as a customer assistant in a barista. Sounds nice???? But, basically u just need to do anything in the cafe, from washing dishes, cleaning, making sandwiches, cooking pasta, making Americano, Espresso, CAppucino, Latte, to operating the till. Is kinda new exprecience for me as i get to know how to make cappucino n latte( i really dunno what's the difference last time...to me, they r just coffee..haha). However, i might just be able to work for this 2 months, then have to quit as i have posting outside Belfast again. The 2 months experience finally allowed me to say i worked b4.....(hehe....)I earned my own money b4 i graduated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another excited thing is.... Cookies n cream icecream is fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!! strongly recommended to everyone. There is no more discount in Tesco thou.... My house is crazy about icecream. V ate like 2 tubs of icecream per week. In order to prevent diabetes mellitus, i think v really hav to stop that, (provided Tesco dun hav sales again...pls...stop the sales for icecream). Haagen Daaz I luv it!!!!Hehehe......i finished almost 1 tub of H-D Cookies n Cream by myself in 1 day....there gone my diet plan.......

after a year away from my comfortable hse...

i thought i sure wil b very lazy to go out....

n just laying on the sofa... watching ASTRO... enjoy Malaysia nice food.... sleep...

but this time i dun feel lazy at all...

mayb it had been a long time since i travel with my "ji mui"...

n i really looking forward to travel with them...

Thanks to von n li wei... my best frd since primary school...

v went to bangkok.... shopping paradise....

but i dun shop a lot compare to that 2 shopping queen...

n pattaya.... nice beach n "interesting" show!!!

overall.......i enjoyed it..........

i wanna go to trips with my buddies again!!!!!!

u 2 better remember your promise 3 years later ya...

a year did made some changes to 3 of us...

not only our appearance but also the mindset...

one of us is working soon...

mayb she had to worry about different things from us...

like her financial plan..... work ...

but for me... my mind is full of holiday... exam....

3 months of "busy" life

OMG!!!! My last blog was 30 march....
i stopped writing for 3 months and 12 days...hehe...
what to do... too bc studying for my Finals...
which almost drove me crazy....
i m that type of student who will become totally anti social n stressed when it come to exam...
just cant imagine what wil happened to me when i m in final yr....
anyway... everything is over...
n i have passed... with not so good result thou...
but i felt so X100 happy, relieved when i knew that i passed...
b'coz really no confident in this exam at all...
a lot to grumble regarding my year 3 exam... ( but dun wan to write it here... it took me ages to write out... n i dun wan to think about anything related to "EXAM" during my holiday)

So... after exam... what m i busying???
haha... shifting to my new hse....
n my dream of "BBQ" in summer came true...
but v 3 "xiao kia"
BBQ at night... n it is almost 10 degree out there....
The "coolest" BBQ i ever had...haha...

then, went to brussel n paris....
saturated with belgium waffles... chocolate....fries
n Eiffel Tower.... museum... n cathedral...
n finally i reach my lovely hse in SEREMBAN!!!

just b4 i start study...(hehe ... procrastinating again)

chocolate vanilla sponge cake sandwiched with strawberry jam + peaches topping

( with the assistance of jeng haw n phaik har n sponge cake mix)

(c... i m expert in using ready mix)

the 2nd cake... baked chocolate cheese cake....

was a disaster...hehe.....

they said it look like an ulcer.... n try to describe it as a pathologic lesion..

thus... i think better dun show a close up pic....

browse thru internet to c what's wrong with it( it cracked on the top)...

n realise not that easy to bake a cheesecake....

hopefully wil improve next time by using the tips from internet

( n the next time dunno wil b when.. coz dun think i wil bake this again... was such a failure)

so... i fully utilise my 2 wks holiday to study....

in fact... my IMU family visited me....
so i spent around 2-3 days with them...
1-2 days celebrate st paddy day n shopping....
(OMG.. shopping again... another excuse for myself... b4 start studying...
i thought shopping n spending money can motivate me to study)
end up studying for only less than 1 wk....
so... now i m very STRESSED!!!!!!!!
( thus crave for sth to boost up my mood... n i ran out n get 2 muffin from SPAR....
b'coz i think chocolate muffin might give me some "oomp" for study...hopefully)
somemore... i lost 1 hour today b'coz of the day light saving thingy...
so unfair.... suddenly lost 1 hour....
ok... stop grumbling.....

8 random fact about me.....

1. My taste buds r a wee weird. I dun like to eat spicy, rice, crab, prawns, and durian. The amount of rice i ate the whole year may equal to the amount of what a normal guy ate for 1 month.Haha. So, i hav no problem in surviving in Belfast. B'coz here had plaenty of food that i like, like bread, cookies, chocolate, apple, vege, and icecream. ( u know..i haven't eat chao kiu tiao for about 2/3 yrs b4 i came belfast...i just dun like it)

2. I luv to sing K. I miss that a lot. The longest section i tried b4 was 9 hours non stop singing K in red box. I m not good in singing. But that is a good way to relieve stress when i finish exam. Haha. I wanna go bac n sing K with my best K mates.

3. I m an early morning person. I wil wake up around 8-9 am...even it is a weekend. I dunno y. that's my biological clock. Then, i will look jaundiced after 11pm.... mayb my liver stop function after 11pm.. thats when i normally slept. So healthy, rite??

4. My cooking is sucks. Mayb is due to my weird taste bud. Haha. U can know how bad was my cooking in the following blog. But i m good in using ready mix. (i think everyone is good at using those ready mix)

5. I dunno how to cycle. I think i learnt b4 when i was really very young. But, i stil dunno. I can ride a 3- wheeled cycle. Hehe. N i dunno how to swim until i m 18 years old. Now, i stil dun dare to swim in places where my foot cannot touch the ground. Isn't it quite useless. Besides that, my ball game skill is terrible as well. I just cant sense where is the ball. But, i think the sport that i enjoy most is jogging. N mayb skipping rope. I have 1 rope in my room. Wil skip it once in a while in the room thou the ceiling is quite low.

6. I drank raw egg with Milo b4. Its sound very X100 Yacky, rite?? But they told me is good for my voice. Hence, my friend n i drank it b4 v go for marching, as v r the commander. Is damn silly.... Is it true?? i dunno the answer until now. But, i think i drank twice for the marching. OMG!!!! How can i do that? just cant imagine.

7. I had many nicknames. Thanks to all my good friends in primary n secondary school n my bro n sis. Pirahna, Rosemary, February, Li tet, Jia jia, Lily, Curry, "jialiao"........U know y i known as pirahna?? b'coz i wil poke the guy's hand who cross over to my desk with pencil in standard 5/6.. so childish....Then, for February ( u read it in Chinese, it is fei po li)... that's b'coz i m so fat during my secondary school time. Hehe.

8. I had 2 big scars on my right knee. Got it in form 5 when i m walking in the rain. Then, i dunno how...i fell down, n the scars r stil there. i wanna get rid of it.... who can help me??

this is the 1st time i became the main chef leh...

i m always the assistant of those main chefs in my hse...

coz my taste bud is a bit weird, abnormal ....

i saw the recipe from internet...

they even hav a video clip to teach me...

hahah... i luv this....

coz i m too lazy to read thru the recipe.....(lots of word)

the recipe is actually for halloween fudge...

they mould the fudge to ghost shape...

as this is for pat's birthday...

so v changed it...

Late new year resolutions

OMG!!!!

i stopped blogging for 1 month...

n just discovered that many of my frds start blogging as well...

n i think i m the laziest....hehe

today is 3rd Feb...

the 1st month of 2008 past...

n CNY is coming...

but make no differences to me...in Belfast...

miss Msia food.... esp...the cookies... i wan pineapple cookies...

can someone reserve for me???

anyway.... after the 1st month...

i think i shud hav my 2008 resolutions....

1. study hard for my June examination

(so i wil not go anywhere for Easter... stay bac n study)

2. spend more time to concern about family n frds in msia..

3. dun b too obsessed over my weight

( dun day dream while doc teaching)

5. dun b so anti social....

6. dun junk...n binge on snack...

7. exercise more

8. control my temper ....

This is my little oxford handbook of clinical medicine...

i just bought it 4 months ago b4 i left msia...

it look so nice n "cute" that time

how it became so "swollen"???

mmm... b'coz i m careless loh...

i immersed it in water!!!!!! ( for dunno how long)

i used to put lotta things into my bag...

which included a very essential thing..... my WATER bottle....

n that day... my bottle is not closed properly....

then my whole bag become a small swimming pool...

n my handbook is the 1st victim...

u c how bad it look now...

anyhow... i wil stil use it..

what to do.????

(it cost 20 pound here man!!!!)

n another vistim is my surgery study guide...

but it does not look that bad..( so i din put the photo)..

oh.....

i remembered another silly thing that i did...

during my 1st few days in belfast

i inserted my camera's memory card forcefully into my laptop card reader..

then it is stil stucked there now...

i cant take it out.....

haiz.....

n ytd my umbrella spoilt....

blame to the bad weather here...

the wind is so strong....

that my little umbrella cant resist the strong wind...

n it broken...........

SAD!!!!
